Might as well be. That's pretty much all we got, except for one baseball note.
So we start with College Football Saturday where both USC and BYU fell from their top ten ranking. Washington University, which beat USC now moves to the 12th spot, which like many relationships, won't last long. After two big wins to kick off the season, Miami is back in stride again in the top 10, but as we all know, all is fair in love and football, so Miami or "The U" shouldn't get too comfortable in that space. Anything can happen. Can we get an Amen?
Which brings us to Sunday. Mark Sanchez of the NY Jets powered his team to a win over the New England Patriots. Sanchez is steadily becoming the new Tom Brady (Patriot's QB) and replacing him as America's he's-so-fine-and-can-do-no-wrong quarterback. Don't believe us? Look at him. Ladies love cool Mark.
But there's more to football than just good looks. Peyton Manning, the Indianappolis Colts quarterback, is on his way to breaking the record for most wins with the team. His chance will come Monday night when they play the Miami Dolphins. In Sunday night's game, the NY Giants beat America's team, the Dallas Cowboys, with a last-second field goal.
And since we promised there was more to this post than football, the NY Yankees missed their opportunity to secure, automatically, a playoff spot with a loss to the Seattle Mariners, but they can snag a spot if they win Monday against the Los Angeles Angels or if Texas loses to Oakland. One man's loss is another man's gain. We've all heard that tired line before, now haven't we?
